As a first-generation Latina, Mariel Cruz enjoys helping others the way she was helped by teachers, mentors, and friends. As part of the Bright Futures team, Mariel works with the Intake department to guide children and their families into the best course of action specifically based on their needs.
She also supports the HCBS staffing department in finding and onboarding top-notch Providers to work with our families. Mariel attained a 120-hour TESOL certification.
She holds a Bachelor's degree in English Language Arts from CUNY Hunter College. On non-working days, Mariel can be found volunteering, on the beach with her loved ones, reading historical fiction, or honing her crossword puzzle skills.
